Keep up the good work on the magazine. A publication schedule is a severe taskmaster (been there). I hope you'll have time to get out and see the rest of us from time to time in web space. I'll keep subscribing. Sorry this has been a pain for you. I hope to buy you a beer sometime when I'm in your area. I have step relatives in Newport.

After some discussion over on CS-BB, I was informed by Charlie that a simple post thanking Herb was made during the transition.

Looking through the incredibly whiney posts that followed reveals that a simple Thanks was overlooked.

Cruising World needs to share much of the blame for my sailing affliction. :P


Comedic license aside, in the 7 years since discovering Cruising World and sailing in general, I've ammassed a very large collection of issues which I still read to this day. Cruising World has informed, enlightened and inspired me to continue to pursue this dream even in light of my detractors.

Though folks have bailed on the CWBB, it seems the general consensus "over there" on the CSBB is that it shouldn't reflect on CW and especially not on Herb. World Pub did what they had to do. With few exceptions, this hasn't changed the general perception of CW as an admirable publication.
