Does anyone have a used gelplane for sale or know of a place that one could rent one. I have some blisters that need attending to and not much time to do the project. I have been told that this tool is best thing since sliced bread for removing the gelcoat, but they are exhorbitantly expensive new. Thanks, Mary
If you think THEY are expensive, wait until you see how much it will cost you to repair the damage they can do in the wrong hands.
You'd be better off to check out your problem at Crusing Sailors BB at

If your bottom really needs to be peeled I would suggest contracting with someone to do the peel that has and knows how to use the tool.
Set wrong they will take off too much way too fast.
If a contractor will peel it then you can do the build up. Not all contractors will just do a peel however - as they are afraid of liability if the build up is not done correctly.
