Hi Kate,

I'm trying to get permission to use the Club at the Academy, but approval for civilian functions is a laborious process in these security conscious times as you can imagine. We should explore all alternatives, of course, but this would be a nice situation if it's doable.

don't you think the regular crew of rapscallions that mans this board would feel a little uncomfortable in such formal surroundings? And how do you think the USNA would look on the CWBB duelling modus of "5200 at 52 paces"?
Surely there's a lowlife watering hole within stumbling distance of the NASS that would more comfortably accommodate this motley assemblage of tars.

No chance on God's Green Earth, Doug. So, in other words, you're not coming then...

Unfortunately, our sailing club's grand finale cup race, the Choptank Cup, is normally that same weekend. The one time it wasn't, I tried and failed to come by boat, but did get this great shot from where I ended up spending Saturday night, instead:

I sure hope your teeth are removable!

I'll be there as usual stationed at my booth, dockside at Pusser's Landing.

I'll also be doing photo shoots and book signings at various manufactures booths as well. :lol:

I look forward to seeing y'all throughout the weekend...
