I am considering using my old 25 HP, 2 stroke outboard motor, weight 100 pounds, on a new Mercury Inflatable Boat that is rated as 15 HP max., 115 pound max. motor weight. The boat is the new 340 model, 11 feet long, with a fiberglass floor and transom. What issues might I deal with by overpowering the boat?
Thanks for your input.

2 strokes sometimes vibrate more than a 4 stroke, watch for cracking of the FG. Also the 25 will have more push than the 15 which may cause bowing/cracking of the FG transom and/or stress on the tube attach points. As long as you are gentle, it should not be a problem.
