I found a great deal on an older Pearson 33. She's been well maintained. How would a Pearson 33 or even a 32 be for a couple sailing the Carribean? She needs an auto pilot and a couple other needed items but the boat seems to be great. Will have her serveyed of course but I don't have any experience with Pearson's. So, I need input. Thanks all.

You should be OK, if you use some sense and are patient with the weather. Don't try to keep to a schedule. I don't know the Pearson 32/33 specifically, but they were fairly well built boats. Not designed for offshore work but good enough to get you there. That being said, I would want to beat into the trades for several hundred miles in one.

Thanks for your help. What would you recommend in a 32 to 33 foot that you can find reasonably priced? It would have to be in an older boat.
