Well it appears all my usual source of friends with whom I go bareboat sailing are afraid of sailing in Turkey. You know, Turkey, the one that borders Syria, Iraq and Georgia to the north. These are same friends that would fly from Belize City to the Placentia Base on a single engine Cessna over jungle terrain and have no problems.
As alot of us who sail and therefore navigate realize that the sailing grounds off turkey, at least where the bareboats are located are miles away from the hotspots.
So I have 2 cabins available on a 4 cabin 40 foot catamaran. Moorings 4000 (Robertson Caine).
The dates are Sept 19 through Oct 4 2009.
I have sailed in the Greek waters during this time frame, Rhodes Greece is about 60 miles away, and the weather has been great.
For more information on the boat or the base, visit the website at www.moorings.com
If there is any interest send me an email. In the meantime, I'll keep trying convince my friends they are not going to .....
