Recommended Charters in the BVI

I'm in the process of looking for a reputable chartering company running out of the BVI for sometime in the late spring (May) and wanted to illicit some input from any of you who've got any previous experience with the options.
My ideal is a mono hull 40+, bareboat 1-2 week charter (3 adults, 1 toddler). I'm hoping that my timing lets me avoid the majority of crowds, take advantage of better rates etc.

I've looked at various websites, scoured (almost drooling) YouTube videos and have poured over the various ads in the back of CW itself. In the end, I'm still at a loss as to what would be the best bang for the buck. this would be my first time chartering and I've got my RYA Coastal rating which I think should be sufficient but the rest of the crew are all novices. Their only experience consists of me imitating Jack Sparrow on Lake Ontario for a weekend overnighter.

Any help would be appreciated.

just back last week. we've used most of the charter folks down there over the last 20 years. the last 4 times, we've used ProValor yacht charters. they've got a "user friendly" attitude that is absent with the other companies.

We've gone through several Charter companies from a new boat with The Moorings ($ high cost to match) to one well worn boat with Conch. Conch was based on rate so no complaints or regrets.

We've been with BareCat 3 times and are headed back for our 4th charter with them this summer. They are small but Mike & Sydney Fallis do a great job. I'd really recommend BareCat!!

We just returned from our second time in the BVI. It is a great area and you will not be disappointed.
Unfortunately our experience with VOYAGE CHARTERS was very disappointing.
They consider themselves a high-end operation and they look the part on their website. They do not live up to the expectations.
They sent us out with an inoperative generator without telling us. Our first night we turned on the A/C and the remaing genarator started tripping. We spent the entire trip with no A/C unless we had shore power. What is the point in boating if you have to stay at a marina we should have stayed at the bitter end yacht club (nice place to check out). If it was just my wife and I we might have been OK but we had 8 kids onboard. My 4 and 4 of their friends. Kids who can't sleep get grumpy.
To top off our experience the captain denied that the holocaust ever happened and believed the U.S goverment was responsible for 9/11.
STAY AWAY FROM VOYAGE CHARTERS!!!

Horizon Yacht Charters at Nanny Cay is a first class organization. The Bavaria Cruisers are great saling monohulls. Boats are well maintained and the people make sure you are satisfied.
