I just wanted to give you all a warning for contracting Mango Marine in Ft. Lauderdale.

This is our track record with them.
- Our 2-3 estimated (by them) days-work turned out to be a 10 days.
- Out of 4 projects they agreed to do, they only solved 2. One was an electrical work
that they did not even in 10 days manage to get an electrician to visit our boat once.
- Out of 3 parts that was ordered in by them, they lost track of 3 and one never showed up.

As you can see, a lousy track record and on top of it they where rude when we
complained about the service level of their work. Very unfortunate !!

STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
Peter

BE AWARE of Disgruntled Customers!

I expected to see Peter appear on a public forum with his complaints sooner or later. He stated as much when he departed Mango Marine. I was the project manager for his work and I feel that Peter has been considerably less than honest in his statement. Well, unfortunately, I cannot please everyone all of the time.
Peter presented me with 4 seperate jobs on his boat, 3 of which involved his running gear. On short notice I arranged for a haul out, and based on information provided by him, began sourcing parts for his boat (he has one of 2 custom 46' sailboats built in Europe). Peter did not have up to date insurance records for his boat and had to have them sent from Sweden, delaying his haul out. He also provided incorrect information about the type and model of Aquadrive running gear his vessel used. This nullified any attempt to prepare for his job and acquire special order parts in a timely fashion. He then failed to provide a deposit until his 5th day in the shipyard, further delaying the purchase of special order parts for his job.
Peter spent 6 days longer in the shipyard than he planned due to unforeseen delays that he played a signifigant part in and delays due to cross country shipping of special order parts. He has already voiced his complaint in writing to our office prior to his departure. He was even asked to leave our office due to his aggressive behavior and language. He has met with myself and the President of Mango Marine to address his complaint. His issues are largely due to his unrealistic expectations and our inability to satisfy them. Even so, his bill was discounted 15% in an attempt to appease him. This discount more than compensated him for the lay days he claims we are responsible for causing. This still did not satisfy him. In short, nothing but "free" was going to make him happy. As I said at the start of this post, you can't please everyone all the time. Some customers are just impossible. Peter, I regret your disatisfaction with your experience at Mango Marine, and I find it petty and infantile that you are posting your skewed version of it on the internet. At least you were honest about your intentions to slander this company in public.
I wish you and your family fair winds and smooth seas. Good Luck.
