Cruising Cote D'Azur

I am looking to do a week cruising the med in early september with my parents and young children. We are looking to charter a ~40ft cat. With young children it seems you need nice beachs to be able to get them onto each dauy to burn some energy. Can the area be quite chilled and private to cuise in, or is it all about super yachts, glitz and glamour? I am keen for more of the former with a taste of the latter if possible.

Any comments about cruisng in the area would be welcomed.
