Help appreciated: Nauta Flexible tanks are not made with vents. Question: Can the tank be installed with with a hard coupled connection to dockside water ( using a 35psi pressure regulator)? The present plumbing design, using the boat's original hard tank which must be replaced, succesfully uses a ball valve T which diverts the pressure reduced suppply to either the tank for filling, or, for dockside convenience, to the cold water supply behind the pressure pump. The issues seem to include: Can the tank handle the pressure? Will the tank develop an air-lock, or will that simply dissipate out through the tank's outlet line which runs to the in-line pump?

Your best bet is to call Nautica directly and talk to their technicians....this is what I did when I had a question about replacing one of my bladders.

It can handle it if you install the same pressure reducer valve that's needed in dock water connections that tee into the plumbing after the tank.

Just remember that, regardless of price or reputed durability, there are only kinds of pressure reducer valves--those that have failed, and those that will. So ALWAYS turn off the water on the dock when leaving the boat, even for an hour, or turning in for the night.

Hey "Fred", this is getting pretty old. I think everyone knows that Phil put the CS board back up, and those that wanted to leave for that board have. Those who chose to stay have done so. It's really bad form to keep advertising the CS board over here.
