I am new here
The new law in brasil says that forigen boats sports and private can stay in brasil for 2 years withuot leaving .
the big probulem with this is when you leave your boat will be robed and then will be taken by the navy as a danger to the enviroment
as they did the roamdeep so pleas read on
I am writing this in hopes that some one in your organization may be able to help me with a problem I am having with the seizure of my boat the RV/ROAMDEEP,
It was laying at anchor in Cabadelo PB Brazil. It was taken buy the captain of ports in that city with out any excuse to my wife, or me as to why it was sized.
I took the Roamdeep from Trinidad to Sao Louis Brazil arriving there on the 3 Sept 2002 where we cleared all documents for entry to and also to leave there to go south to Louis Cerra then down to Fortalaza and Natal and to finish up in Cabadelo where we cleared in with out problems.see documents in package .
Upon closer inspection by Cabadelo Nautica Ltda the Roamdeep had incurred some damage to its fore deck and bow from the trip down and was deemed not sea worthy for the trip father south .at this point we took the letter of damages to the captain of ports in Cabadelo he said it would be okay to do the repairs there we then went to the police fredral with the letter and were told buy police sergeant Geraldo Gomes the boat could stay but I would have to leave the country to have my viza extended. So on the 1 march 2002 I left Joao Passoa .
I got as far as Bahia when Carols called me and told me that my boat had been robed when he went home for the night, so I went back to the boat and held a inventory of all things missing after I did it in English I went to a friends home to have it done in Portuguese, then called the police frerdial which was closed for carnival march 4 2002 the next day I called and talked to a police federal and he told me that they did not do that type of law I needed to go to the delegado in Cabadelo to report the crime , we did Shara and I went to see the delegado Ezito in Cabadelo sarha told him what had happened and we gave him the inf. and a estimate of 10.000 dollars worth of tools and material they had taken , and whom we thought did the theft , at that point he looked at me and told me it would be 1500 reals to do the case . I asked why, if he was police, I had to pay to have the crime investigated, he just looked at me and said Brazil. Most all the things they took off the boat was what I brought down to work on the boat, and tools you cant get in brazil, so work on the boat cane to a stand still till I can have more things shipped to me.
At that point Sarha told me it would not be safe for me to stay on my boat so she let me and fatima stay at an apartment she had next to her bar in Jaoa passoa. On the 13 March 2002 Carols came to the bar with a man from Santa Rita whom had one of the pumps stolen from my boat.
He had traded a 125 Honda motor cycle for the pump
Carols and I with the man from Santa Rita went to see exit when we told him the names and where the rest of my tools and parts were and he took the statement from the man, he told me it would be 1000 reals to investigate the crime and I needed to pay the 400 real motto that was owed on the motorcycle, and we had to leave the pump there as it was on the list and had to be left there.
This went on for several months we would find out more info and ezito would say more money to look into the case. I went to the mayors office and talked to DR Melanesia he told me to go and talk to a Delegado named Comrobert where I told him all the info I had over the next 2 days he had the other 5 people come in and give statements. He then went to see ezito, and he picked up the pump and all the statements we had given him he had none of them he had was the pump.

I was told that he was turning over the case to the judge to get the arrest warrants.on Ezito, William, and his two sons and some one known as the white cat To this date the judge has not given them out.and at last report my things are still being sold out of William’s house in Jacare,

I and my friends started to be harassed by not only the police military, but the police federal, and the captain of ports kept boarding my boat and telling me to move it in closer to shore put a flag on it, He has told my wife to hand over the documentation to the boat and told carols not to work for me any more as I was wanted in the USA by the FBI and other law offices, also some one told police federal that I was working at the hi-fi club and that I was trying to get married just to stay in country, and the police federal did every thing they could do to keep me from it .
Then on July 6 2003 Police Federal sergeant Geraldo Gomes and another officer told me I was to report to their office for an interview this was a Friday, I went on that Monday and was told that I had 8 days to leave the country, I told them that I had a date to get married in 10 days, Geraldo told me I could not get married in Brazil as he was told that I was doing it just to stay in country, and if I did he would still deport me and not allow the marriage to be documented in Brazil.
I went to Geraldo boss to try and get a stay so I could at least finish the work on the boat I was told no then I asked him when I left if my boat would be safe, he told me it would be okay there as long as it was looked after, from there I went to the commander of the navy in Joao Passoa and asked if it was okay for the boat to remain in the river while I was gone, he and his EX O told me that someone told them that I had abandoned the boat in the river , I told them about ezito and what was going on . They then told me they had some of the same trouble from the gang of thieves

I also talked to a person on the phone named Christian he worked as the captain of ports in cabadelo , I was told by him the boat was okay where it was and it would be there when I got back, I told carols to keep it safe and went back to police fredial to pick up Fatima and her pass port , so we could be married in Paraguay before I left . That was an idea of the police fredial
I could get her a viza to come to the US for that time, as I look back on it was a way to get rid of me and put me off on another state,
I then left by plane the next day Fatima came to me in paraguay and had paid my fine, we went to the bridge and waited there for 3 hours for me to be stamped out of the country, we went to the Tia Nancy hotel in Paraguay, the next morning we went back to the bridge and when I went to be stamped out I was picked up by police fredral, I was finger printed and taken back to the bridge and sent on my way, fatima and I were married later that afternoon I went to get my paper work done, I was told by the border guard I needed a viza to enter their country and could not get one there I had to go get it in brazil . So know here I am almost 4000kl from Joao Passoa new wife and no way to leave from there, so went to police fredial for help told them what was going on I was told by them I had to leave the country at once. So Fatima and I went to the bus station and took a bus back to Joao passoa.
In the 10 days we were gone things were worse the police fredial had fined Shara 2400 reals they said I was working for her at the club, my boat captain and his wife had been told to come and see them at the police fredral office, where they were and still being harassed by the police to this day.
I was told the other day that Sahra closed her clube due to the police now saying that I own the club and she and her family were in big trouble for helping me in elage business, that is wrong I do not own the club, I do know that because of the police fredial 9 women don’t have jobs now and 3 children don’t have food and clothing.
I flew back to the states and was here for some 28 days and in that time the police have been by my house at least 3 times a week calling my wife and telling her she just married me for my money, and she was just a whore and should be ashamed of herself, along with Rosa my captain the police federal are always at the house looking and asking where I am and what am I doing.
I received a call from my wife on the 17 august 2003 telling me that the captain of ports had sized my boat the RV /Roamdeep and would not tell her for what reason it was done and it was none of her business, and told her to bring the boat papers to them ASAP she told them I had them in the states with me and could not get them .to date I have called down to brazil to find out why my boat was taken and no one can tell me as to why and who did it. I want who did it and what reason they have for doing it.
On my boat there was a 24a16 ft Boston whaler with motor, a 13 ft zodiac with motor several lift bags, and other tools I use for marine archeology .and 2 kayak rope finders chain 2 ac units anchors and other equipment taken off my boat by the port captain whom has laid claim to my boat , I hold him responsible for all damages and losses to my boat
