Hi all,
I'm trying to convert my ice box to a fridge. No big deal except...
Malakii is on the Rio in Guatemala, and the airlines won't take anything with refrigerant in it.
I'm looking for someone heading that way, land or sea,
who would be willing to haul a 23#, 20" x 17" x 15" box, which they can dismantle into two smaller parcels (compressor and evaporator). The parcels can be left with Jennifer Lindeen; if you've been to the Rio, everyone knows her and where she is. Wonderful person.
Arrival time is not a big deal. I was hoping to head down in a few weeks, but I'll be happy if I see it in February.
My budget is pretty tight, but I'm willing to pay something, say $100, and offer my unexpert services as a mast monkey, crude labor, electrical engineer, computer expert, gracious and thankful guest, diver, whatever.
Thanks for any help or possible alternatives anyone can provide.
