Most women that you will get, if you get any, will be just someone to eat up your grub and drink up or otherwise use water and sleep while on 'watch' and putting you and any other crew in danger.

Nice generalization, Kevin. Paint all female sailors with the same broad (pun intended) brushstroke. You might be surprised to learn that there are a lot of female sailors out there that are quite competent. Perhaps you haven't stumbled across any of them yet.

If this has been your experience, might I suggest that just maybe your selection process for female crew might need a little tweaking?
