On the topic of Internet access, I was surprised by high much Wi-Fi we encountered last year in the Exumas. It's well worth the money to invest in an antenna you can mount topsides (if only a little USB network adapter). I often had to bring my laptop up in the cockpit and even then couldn't connect while friends with antennas did just fine. I wouldn't count on taking an entire online course, but it's nice to be able to surf the web and catch up on e-mail on a high speed link when you can.
