Default Depth Finder Transducer for MacGregor 26X

Does anybody know or can tell me where to find information on a replacement thru-hull transducer? I am having a devil of a time trying to find parts for this 1996 MacGregor I inherited from my late father-in-law.

    TIA,
    Mark

Parts for a MacGregor is easy.

For general parts, contact MacGregor Yachts (factory) or Blue Water Yachts (large distributor).

For the depthsounder, google the brand name of the instrument. From their website, click on support. E-mail the make, model, serial number, and age, and just ask for a new transducer.

Most sounders (especially less expensive ones) run on a 40 kHz transmit pulse. If your sounder does, almsot any 40 kHz transducer will do. (Some have built in thermistors for temp readings, that may or may not be compatible with your display head, but you'll still get a depth reading.)
