I'm writing and editing a book on hurricanes and tropical storms--how to avoid, plan and prepare for them. I'm looking for personal stories from skippers who've survived, or not, major weather event: at sea, at anchor, at the dock or ashore. These stories should illustrate things that worked and things that didn't. I've survived three hurricanes in the Caribbean and you can read one of those stories on my website www.DHLyman.com. You'll also find an initial draft of my recommendations there too.
I'm also looking for comments from insurance adjuster, survyors, marina managers, and harbor masters who have suggestions on storm survival techniques.
