Default Crew of OLE HOOP, lost at Kap Horn!

    Hello!

I'm Tom from Germany and I was browsing the Cruising World last year, 2012, around August in Canada! There was a report from a couple, Klaus Noelter and Johanna Michaelis, who are somewhere on the east coast in the USA and they sail a Hallberg Rassy at the moment! The last living sign from them was in 2002 when there ship OLE HOOP sank at Kap Horn!
Unfortunately, I did not buy the magazine!

Is there is anybody out there, who could send me the story?

    Thanks in advanced, Tom!

    Hi Tom,
I believe that the story you're referring to is "Swallowing the Hook" by Beth Leonard, which appeared in our August 2012 issue. However, the people in the story are named Klaus and Maria Haussler. Their boat is a Hallberg Rassy 41 named Ludus Amoris. Not the same people, I think.

    Cheers,

    Hello again!

    Thanks for the respond!
You are right! This is a different couple, not the one I thought!

    Cheers Thomas
