Rebelle, a 45 foot Lagoon, will be the begin 2013 operations in Tonga for Sea Mercy. Operating as a Floating Health Care Clinic (FHCC), Rebelle will carry US and Australian health care staff, medical supplies and local health ministry staff to the remote islands of Tonga (170+ islands) to deliver much needed health care that is currently not available. Dragonfly, a 65 foot custom catamaran, will arrive in Tonga in 2014, freeing up Rebelle to establish a new FHCC operations in Fiji (300 remote islands). Learn more about Dragonfly here.
Two additional boats have committed to the Sea Mercy program and are scheduled for the 2015 program. Each boat will begin FHCC training in Tonga, then relocate to the next available Sea Mercy island nation partner the following year. With 11 island nations targeted for FHCC's by 2016, Sea Mercy is seeking additional vessels to join their growing Sea Mercy Captains fleet.
