We are chartering out our boat Serenity this autumn/winter as we don't have enough time to sail her, and we donít want to leave her closed up for 8 months.
The boat, is a Gulfstar 44 Ketch Motor Sailor and is located in the beautiful Abaco,
Bahamas. She'll be available from the middle of August 2013 until the end of April 2014
The boat is fully air conditioned, sleeps up to 8 , has a full galley, 2 heads, 2 showers, washing machine, 3 TVís and lots of movies, 2 Kayaks and a RIB with a 20HP Yamaha. Fully insured, and ready to cruise the Abacoís. Really all someone needs to do is show up with a bag of clothes, add some food and drink, and start sailing.
Iím looking for about $1800 a month based on long term rental (minimum 3 months) for someone to charter the boat on a bareboat basis. At this price - which is less than a 1 week charter Ė The price is such a bargain, as we are wanting somebody to look after the boat whilst we are out of the country.
I expect the charterer to treat the boat with the same care they would treat their own boat (ie: donít trash it; other than wear and tear - leave it in the condition you found it; and, donít call me if you need to change a fuel filter at some point)
This would ideally suit a retired couple or anyone who is wanting to spend a few months in the sun and escape the cold winter weather.
If youíre interested, let me know and we can discuss this further.
Hi, we are retired, teachers and professional and a bit fussy. I can tell you first that if we do your boat deal, we will care for it, you will find we are very meticulous. Paul is a retired Mechanical and Marine Engineer. Once we rented a house for a year, the owner told us at the end he had never had such caring renters. OK, we have bareboated the USVI, the BVI, the Grenadines and also Belize. We do not smoke or party and I mean that. We have bareboated on 32 to 44 foot Sloops. Let us talk more of this item, you may call us at 541 9979631 or we will call you. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org. The three month deal sound good to us, maybe more.
We live in Oregon. Looking foreward to hearing from you.

Hi, Is this boat still available. I live in Palm Beach, and might have an interest provided the vessel is allowed to navigate in U.S. waters.
PS I am 77 yrs old, have owned numerous racing-cruising sailboats. We would use the boat here in Palm Beach and Florida, maybe cruise the Abacos as well.
2013/2014 doesn't work for me, ... but please let me know if you want to do it again in the winter/spring of 2015. Experienced sail boater, in my 60's, have owned and sailed for many years. I have done the BVI's a couple of times.
